It is great sadness I advise that ZK-EDR passed away on the 24/10/2010.

On approach to RWY 27 at Stratford we hit such severe sink at 100foot and about the same out from the Runway we decended into a hedge full power didn't stop the sink. Power was pulled to idle as we hit the Hedge and we were rotated around and landed backwards. We vacted in less than 10 seconds.

We had done around 200 hours together since getting her in June 2008 and been over Mt Taranaki/Egmont around 85 times taking countless people up and over. She so enjoyed sharing the Joy of flight with people.

My Jodel girl looked after us till the end as there was not a drop of fuel spilt and she had full tanks. We fell of the hedge and were probably doing 10 knots when we contacted the ground. We walked away no injuries at all to either Gary or myself.

Farewell faithful friend gone well before your time. Great memories and Flying ........

Yeah real Bummer I consider it a success as walked away no injuries that don't happen very often in this game.
